Box Brief –
A nice little heavy couplet for today. Everyone should be feeling pretty good from yesterday, if you rested! The loading on the Deadlift is intended to be heavy. Perhaps not for the first few rounds, but by the end of the workout. We wanted a lift/jumping combo and we really love how functional Over Unders are, so we used them today. The volume won’t get too crazy in 10min, so people shouldn’t end up doing mostly Over Unders, which could be a concern. Strength Endurance is going to be tested here, especially with the double whammy of hinging at the hip on the Deadlift and then jumping and shimmying under the PVC.

You add 1 rep for both movements each round. So, for the first round you perform 1 Deadlift + 1 Over Under, the second round you perform 2 of each, and so on for 10min.

For the Over Unders: Set the PVC up so that you are able to both clear it when you jump and crawl under. Taller people should add one plate under the PVC to make it a little higher. Going Over + Under = 1 rep. You need to jump with a two foot takeoff and landing. There is no penalty for touching the PVC, but if you knock it down completely, then you’ll need to perform that rep again.
